I've been buying on ebay for a few years and selling for about a year now; never had any problems until this past month. Sorry in advance for the rant; just had to get this off my chest! 1: Sold a coin and shipped it to Puerto Rico. Tracking shows the coin moving into the path of Hurricane Florence right around the time it hit; it's been "in transit" for a month and a half. Opened an inquiry, and got a response that they couldn't find it, and I should buy the $25 express mail if I need a guarantee that the package will ever get there 2: Bought a package at the end of August from India. Took a month to get to the US, spent a month in customs, spent a week pinballing between local distribution centers, was checked in at my local post office a week ago, and the trail goes cold there. Called yesterday and they can't find it! 3/4: Sold a bunch of coins in ~20 transactions a week ago. One was to a fellow CCF member who lives like 45 minutes from me; the other was headed two states over. Both packages were accidentally sent across the country from NC to CA. The second package looks like it will be there tomorrow, the trail on the other goes cold in San Diego. Feel free to share your USPS horror stories as well!

Not sure what's going on with them, but have had more problems with them not scanning delivers even with signature confirmation in the last two months than the previous 5 or so years.

Recently bought 10 silver quarters and it was mailed from California. When I received it the letter was cut open, quarters taken out of the small envelope that was taped to a piece of cardboard in the large mailing envelope then retaped with clear packing tape. Some USPS shyster got him/herself my 10 quarters. Luckily buyer refunded my money with no problem.

From the looks of that mess, I'm thinking to myself the sender initiated that crime with an big invitation and a healthy dose of temptation! I'm wondering if you can hear the sound of silver through paper!?!

Quote: I'm wondering if you can hear the sound of silver through paper I'm sure if you work at USPS and deal with enough envelopes you can tell what's in them by shaking it. Still doesn't give the right to steal. Thieves and liars -(usually goes hand in hand)- have no use for them.

There are employees looking, listening and waiting for that exact thing.... You can take that to the bank! The vast majority of employees are honest but I always get the one that isn't!
