As a general rule,the retail value needs to be at least $150 to justify all grading costs involved. You may want to check ebay sold values.

If it were mine I'd get it graded even if it cost more than it's worth.
Mostly I'd like to have it authenticated (Is it real?)

Yes, this should be slabbed. Probably VF-25 for a grade.

I would slab it. If you don't plan to sell it, then ANACS is a more economical route.

First is is an 1787, not an 1887 and yes I would get it graded.
