I am a bit perplexed by this 1943 steel cent. It is magnetic..it looks almost goldish compared to my other 1943 steel cent..but weighs LESS? I weighed my normal 1943 cent and it was 2.7.
I assumed this was a plated steel cent..but when it weighed in at 2.4, it left me
let me take a couple of pictures for referance

2.7 grams is normal +/- mint tolerance. It looks like a somewhat worn cent that was plated.

It doesn't look worn to me..unless plating a worn coin makes the details stronger? I have no idea how it could be steel and 2.4grams plated?

Plating ruins collector value.

Could it be experimental? Weighing only 2.4 grams?

@rabitthole1, of course anything is possible, but the much more likely explanation is that your cent was a slightly underweight, lightly circulated '43 that was plated at a later date (sometimes called "reprocessed") in an effort to make it look extra shiny for unsuspecting collectors.
