I've acquired this 1982 $0.01 error coin. It stated it is bronze but I want to identify whether it's a large or small date. I only have the top of the eight and the two on the date to make that determination. Is there any other way with this coin to figure out if it's small or large date?

The large dates look like over fill bike tubes. The small dates devices are thinner.

Still hard to tell from here. Look at the centers of the 'R' and compare it with your coin? Note how the left side of the 'R' goes off at an angle on the large date?

Well it is a large date. I guess the example I posted only have that mark. But it is a large date copper.

Personally, I think it's a Small Date, but I can't prove it.

I wish there were more available indicators to determine whether it was a small date or large date. I'm still rooting for small date
