Just going through some old points and found this 1935 D one cent penny which the D is pushed into the nine. All images I've researched don't show this variation . Any insight?

Because of the mint marks being punched in by hand, the mint mark locations varied. There's no premium for this, but it's still very interesting.
Errers and Varietys.

Many dates/MMs in the Lincoln series have such an anomaly. Good eye. to the CCF!

Thank you for the quick reply. It looks like a large date to me where every other image I've seen are thinner font. Here's an example of what I mean. Or maybe I'm seeing things lol

A later die state and more advanced circulation wear, which your coin is both , can increase the size of the devices on a coin.

I think you may have a known repunched mintmark variety (D/D West). Check out 1935-D RPM-005. Although the photo isn't clear, your mm location looks correct for this one.

Looks spot on as a 1935-D RPM-005. Thanks

The only identified die marker for this RPM is a subtle die scratch from the top loop of the "S" of "TRUST" NW, toward the rim. Wexler has that as a Stage A marker. My examples are Stage B, and the marker is gone. Even in Stage B, the RPM can be hard to spot. Here's a link to my best Stage B example of the 1935-D RPM-005. I respectfully think this one is the RPM-005, but late Stage B or Stage C. I haven't (yet) found any other 1935-D with the mm in this location. Underneath the crud west of the "D" there should still be some remnant of the RPM. I sort of can make out the line, but there is a lot of crud in that area. I'm not a fan of acetone baths, but this may be one to send for a short swim.
