Poll Question
If you had to choose from an MS Flying Eagle cent in the same grade with a CAC or an Eagle Eye sticker which would you prefer? This assumes you were buying without in-hand examination, the price was the same, and you could not see any difference between the 2 in the pics.

Personally I would prefer CAC.

I find both to be generally (but not infallibly) reliable.

Haven't heard of eagle eye, and CAC has yet to impress me. But if I was looking to resell than I would go with the CAC one, but I'm guessing this would be a coin I was buying for My own collection.

Note: Eagle Eye stickers started back in the mid 1990s, earlier than CAC.

That's an interesting question actually, I think I'd go with cac in case I ever had to sell it, I just see more coins with CAC stickers

Can't argue. Eagle Eye is the sticker that Rick Snow, the acknowledged top gun in FE and Indian cents, applies to the holders of coins he believes are superior examples in this limited series. No real comparison to CAC with its broad market coverage.

CAC has more name recognition across the various US coins. Photo seal is pretty much only on flying eagle and Indian cents. Knowledgeable collectors of these two series likely know about both services.

Eagle Eye, but CAC is not a bad choice, and the best choice is to get both, e.g. by buying a Photo Seal coin from Rick/EERC and having CAC sticker it. CAC offers quality opinions on a wide variety of coins, but Rick Snow specializes in Flying Eagle & Indian Head cents. Having seen, and handled, an untold number of these coins, including proofs, patterns, die varieties, and such, he is more than qualified to offer an expert opinion on the merits of a particular coin using his PDS grading system (planchet, die, and strike.) For the best of both worlds, you can have CAC sticker a coin that's already been examined by Rick -- his Eagle Eye coins come with a certification card with a photo of the coin, as well. In terms of resale value, CAC approval is more beneficial for the general market and will make a coin more attractive to buyers; a specialist in the series might prefer both CAC & Eagle Eye or even just Eagle Eye.

Makes no difference to me. I never sell coins so into an Album it would go anyway.
