I thought at first this is the experimental rinse planchet but when I put it under magnification, it seems to be a Cheerios. These are the best photos I could get right now. I hope you can verify my inquiry. Thank you.

Pics are a little blurry but, my vote is no due to the lack of detail on the tail feathers.

Yours is a normal well circulated one dollar and it is worth just that.

Quote:
As part of an effort in 1999 to promote the new Sacagawea dollars, General Mills scattered 5,500 specially packaged, 2000-dated Sacagawea dollars among 10 million boxes of Cheerios cereal. Five years later, it was discovered that the so-called "Cheerios" dollars were actually from a different reverse die type.

How can you tell if the reverse is the special one if the coin is packed face up?
Here is how you can tell before you open the holder:

Die disturbance on that area.

Mr. Coop, I have one with the same die disturbance on the obverse, but the reverse is the normal business strike not the Cheerios reverse.

Well they may have kept using the die? Or it developed what ever caused the disturbance on the obverse die? (But glad to hear it is not on all of them) But I'm talking about the packaged ones from the boxes that are still wrapped.

Yes sir, I knew what you were referencing I just went back to look at mine and I actually have two that have the disturbance near the rim. I just wish it had the detailed tail feathers on the reverse!

PCGS has graded a "Cheerios" Sacagawea dollar that was unopened until grading and did NOT have the detailed tail feathers. Another TPG also had a similar circumstance. Interesting read by Jaime Hernandez.
