need better closeup pictures of the area in question.

from theses photos - I do not see a Cud, just some staining

It's called a Die Chip, not a Cud. A Cud pnly involves the rim, and some parts of the fields. Here's what a Cud looks like. http://goccf.com/t/331880

Can you point out where you see the anomaly? It's definitely not a Cud, whatever it is. I see environmental damage above the T, and a die chip in the S in STATES.

Looks more like a grease accumulation on the coin from what I can see.

Not usually worth anything, unless if they're this big in size. If they look like this, than they're worth a small premium.
