Is this a mint error? Are those die cracks on the reverse?

The obverse is showing Split Plate Doubling plus damage from the Copper plating getting pierced. On the reverse, it looks like that area was Struck Through Wire.
Errers and Varietys.

The large black mark on the obverse is post minting damage ( PMD).

The reverse looks like a small struck through area.

Looks like it was heated on that area. Note the black color. There may have been a bubble that broke exposing the zinc. PSD. spender. The clock is counting down on this one as to when the zinc will be gone.
Rest in Peace

Obverse looks like his forehead was hit with a blow torch . Reverse dose not look like die cracks .
I agree with S.D.2017 about struct through issues .
