Kev, I believe your coin is Antiochos VIII 121-96 BC Sear# 7142.

Any thoughts on why this coin looks a little like it was plated (especially around the edge as you can see in the pic below)? Not necessarily saying it is fake or a fourree, but I'm bothered by the surface. A rescue from a fire?

When I first saw this coin I though the same thing. I believe the coin is genuine but has environmental damage and what appears to be horn silver.
