I see the doubling up close on the microscope, but zoomed out it leaves. Is this a true doubling of the date, or a light trick?

Found in a $25 box today from the bank. TIA

Your coin has Machine Doubling (MD) also referred to as Strike Doubling. The devices are reduced in size, which is a marker for MD. Also, the doubling is shelflike.

Machine Doubling is common and happens due to a mechanical issue with how the coin is struck. Not a doubled die and doesn't increase the value of the coin.
