Again, thank you guys for all the responses. I will personally be extremely happy if this coin grades 63, let alone 64! Hey johnysprawl nice coin! I do see your point on the hair and it could be a weaker strike but most likely the one I have, had more contact and the hair has less details. I will consider ICCS but I wonder how NGC would grade. I have seen them grade higher on coins that should be 10-15 points lower.

Sure is a lot nicer than my AU55 shown below. As for the neck marks on your coin, Punman here says "I'm going with hickey".(' ')There are some things that even kings are not exempt from. Good luck with your grading if you submit.

if you do plan on getting it graded I wouldn't hesitate to use ICCS, if you ever plan on selling it to the USA market, I would go with PCGS.. if the grading is for your own piece of mind go with ICCS.

Personally, for the love of the hobby I don't think I would ever want to sell this coin. If I ever do, I will be very regretful for many years and I like this coin to stay here in Canada so most likely I will see the guys at ICCS

If it were my coin I think I would rather have it in a hard / slab over a soft flip as damage could happen in a soft slip with a coin this size. If you would like to keep Canadian product all the way CCCS has very nice hard slabs at a good price.

Give us some better pictures please..the coin has a very interesting look and I have the slightest thought that it could be a mishandled specimen strike..i am most likely wrong but it's worth an extra set of pics just to know! Otherwise it is a very good example of a 48 and should have a shot at MS64 if these pictures are true to life. Nice piece! And don't get this coin graded with CCCS..they are not even in the league of being a TPG..in my opinion anyways. ICCS is all you need..it is more trusted with a coin like this than any other company.
Feel free to call me Will.

I have three CCCS graded coins including one in the hard slab. These are not coins that I submitted, just ones purchased from other collectors. I have no problem with their grading expertise, although three is a pretty small sample.

mishandled specimen strike? That would be awesome! I never ever thought of it but I am no expert. I will take it to ICCS. I understand their flips are not the best protection but I ensure to store them properly. I don't have a whole variety of photos and I apologize if I'm duplicating observe or reverse photo. It's difficult with this iPhone camera. Hope they help..

Looking at the luster I would say it is not a mishandled specimen..still it has eye appeal and looks great..i am headed to ICCS on Monday..if you would like to meet up with me I would love to check it out in hand and give my opinion then as well.

I don't have the time in my favour right now due to work and my involvement with my work but in the near future I don't mind at all. I will post the grade here once it is brought for grading. I appreciate everyone's time and opinions and I wish everyone a good weekend !
