Hi everybody I'm motu, here in Hawaii. I'm definitely green and still wet behind the ears with all this. at this time I collect wat I can. whether it be my appreciation of history of times no more or just the everhoping treasure hunter in me. coins are the most fun. so pls bare with me I'm fresh to this and if my etiquette is a little rough I do apologize. this is my first time participating in these. thanks again

ok so I do have a question. I was looking over some of my coins and only this time did I notice that my 1968S Jefferson nickel seems to have swirls in the metal on the reverse. Ive had this for awhile and when I got it it was in a 5 nickel sized flat coin holder. where ive left it and it still is. so I guess the big question would be are those from post mint or during minting, right? but really all feedback is awesome.

thanks again

to the CCF! It did not leave the mint that way. It is post mint damage.

It's impossible for something like that to happen during the striking of a coin.

It's PMD (post minting damage) not an error.
