I find this in a OBW BU roll of 2018 P LSC's. This is not damage etheir, as it came out of the roll like this.

Thank you Jim! It's nice to find error coins from a OBW BU roll of 2018 P LSC's.

It maybe a bag mark. But what is above the "B" on the VDB?

Sorry Coop, it's definitely not a bag mark. It's definitely not Post Strike Damage. Maybe it was Struck Through a piece of Rim Burr maybe still attached? I'll have to get the weight on this one.

The weight is 2.5 grams. It turns out to be Struck Through a Rim Burr that's still attached.

We have a member of The Australian Coin Forum who calls these 'Cold Shuts'

He seems to have some considerable knowledge of metal forging/processing.

In my very limited experience where coins are concerned, they always appear to happen near the edge and most of mine also have the same tapering effect.

I can probably find a few images if anyone is interested.

I'm still seeing metal movement from damage. Note the area above and below the bag mark. I see metal splash in both directions. I see an area pushed out on the reverse near 'OF' and the field below it.

I respectfully disagree that it's a contact mark. This came out of a OBW BU roll exactly like this.
