with brockage. You can tell that it's not a vise job since the rims are still raised and the impression from the reverse side of the coin is distorted and much larger than the actual design. A vise job could not perfectly replicate this distortion. Also, to the forum!

Is it worth getting slabbed? I have a few 1943 Steels already, will add this to the collection. but was wondering inorder to preserve it and if somebody offered down the road.

I'm generally against slabbing, but in the case of a steel cent like this I might make an exception (to avoid surface rusting from moisture, especially if you live in a high humidity area and don't have a low-humidity storage system for your coins). I'll be interested to see what others think.
Also, welcome to CCF!

I agree with spence but I also think that the coin should be slabbed because IMO it's a particularly valuable error, and having it slabbed makes it easier to get much more for it than if you sold it raw.

Something happened to my original reply, but I see clearly that it was in haste and my apology. A brockage for sure.

Looks like a brockage. I'd have it slabbed by a TPG to protect it from the elements. Coinfrog -
