Found 1957 penny with a 7 looking like a question mark. Also there is a blob between B and E in word liberty. Wondering if it's worth keeping.

Your Seven is severedit has been smashed flat with the metal pushed out of position.
But the blob you are referring to is a small die chip located in between the B and E and it is known as BIE, in the case of your coin it will be considered partial BIE.

I think that most LWCs are worth saving unless they are culls as they are worth a few times face value. I'm not sure that this one is worth saving in a 2x2, but certainly in a coin roll with other common date wheaties.

You should include the date, mintmark, and the denomination in your titles.

Why Topic Titles are Important

The title of your topic is very important. Let's say you need help attributing an 1896 Morgan Dollar....

  • Horrendous: Help!

  • Bad: Need help with coin

  • Better: Need help with Morgan Dollar

  • Good: Need help with 1896 Morgan Dollar

  • Awesome: Need help with VAM on 1896 Morgan Dollar

This enables the members with expertise pertaining to your question to easily find and answer your question. The title of the topic also becomes the title of the topic's web page, which enables us to attract more collectors to the site. The more members we have, the more we learn.
