I'm wondering if there is any value to this coin - I thought that the fact that it was uncirculated and 1 oz of silver, might make a difference! Thanks in advance to anyone who might have an answer.

LilOne,

Welcome to the forum. Your 1988 ASE in UNC is worth a modest premium over silver melt value ... right around $20 now.

Thank you! I also was just handed an envelope containing a Solid Bronze Collector's Set of Franklin Mint Presidential Coins. Is there any value to them?

There was a death in our family recently, and these items were given to us. So we are curious as to their value.

Ah the "Franklin Mint". Sorry to tell you that those are tough to unload. They are really hyped on the front end, but have virtually no resale market. Sometimes you get lucky and find someone who will shell out close to what you paid for them, but it may take some work to find that sucker ... I mean person.

The Franklin Mint is a joke in numismatic circles. Their success comes by preying on the uninformed with glitzy marketing and investment hype. They are the "Snake Oil" salesmen in this hobby.
