Grease filled or over polished. Can't tell from your pic,but for it to be a keeper there can not be "any" sign of the FG. John1  |

I used a regular lamp this time. Hope this helps and is that a floating roof. I was not sure about it either?   |

Ok always better pictures. I see something there too I need to not use florescent light and take them from several angles. I am trying to learn this but there is a lot. Thank you for your help.

It is an over polished die issue. Why do I say that? Because there is more involved that are missing and are there.
1. The FG.
2. The Floating roof.
3. The statue.
With the bays showing to me rules out a stuck through grease issue. If the statue is missing, the die were so over polished, the fields/bays were reduced so much they statue went away. I don't recall a struck through issue taking out the statue. Same with the floating roof issue. When the devices fields are reduced so much that the sub devices are disappearing, I take a struck through error being taken out of the equation. The "FG" is the only that could be from a struck through issue (but not in this case) as we have seen grease there before. So I feel the die was so over polished, that they were missing. At one time PCGS was slabbing these, but quit as they were common on different dies.

Unless you want to use it to show a new collector. It make an interesting conversation piece on die polishing to a new collector.

spender? I would keep it as a "coin of interest".. i have a small plastic coffee grounds container - that I keep coins that I find interesting. whether or not they are considered collectable by the majority of the coin collector community of not - really dosent matter too much... it costs you only 1 cent to save that coin - and it might give you a lot of satisfaction... attache is a "no FG" coin that I found in change... it does not have any particular premium value... but I like it a lot - and it is a keeper in my opinion.. It's your decision on whether to keep it or spend it - it does show a decent example of the no FG and floating roof.
