I followed variety vista:

It appears to match, although I had a hard time with pictures and lighting, but I think it's all there and wanted some opinions.

Your coin is a nice one, but not DDO-001.

Note 'TY' and date. They're not a match. Just a normal coin. Yours matches the center normal images.

I don't see any doubling on your coin. There's nothing to the right of RTY or 190. It's not DDO-001

Looks like a normal coin. A doubled die on raised devices will enlarge the size of the devices.

I'm a little late but I agree that it is not a DDO. Regardless it is a nice looking coin, and it's a 1909 as well. Keep looking!

There were a lot of them saved. It was a change from the old design. So people saved a lot of them. Other denominations were announced that there was going to be a short supply certain years and these also were saved a lot. I remember one guy wanted to make a deal with the mint to buy all of the 1931-S cents. The mint didn't go for that.

I would still soak the coin in acetone to get rid of those ugly black marks though. Overall, good coin.

Those look like carbon spots. They probably won't come off.
