Howdy,

On the reverse of this coin I noticed a scratch near the edge of the coin. I've been trying to compare the grading standards of Gong Bo to that of the PCGS and NGC. Does anyone believe this scratch near the upper right of this picture would make this a details grade coin? There is a second smaller scratch right near that one as well.
(reverse is first picture)

So I posted the same picks on another forum and got some answers there. The general conscious was that the scratch would not cause the coin to be graded details. I'm still on the line myself. I have seen it go both ways. The major scratch is not over any of the important grade areas of the coin so under this argument we would say it is not a details grade. On the other side, we argue that the scratch does not look like normal circulation damage. On this argument it would get the details grade.

What do you all think?

It's scratched. I can't quite tell from this angle / photos but it just seems that it has been cleaned previously?

I would "details" the coin for the scratches and the fact it looks cleaned.
