1935 P Doubled Die Reverse / DDR In A Lincoln Cent?

Placasador Valued Member United States 73 Posts	Posted 07/24/2008 11:53 pm I got a 1935 Lincoln Cent out of a mix, and it has doubling on the reverse along the e pluribus unum mostly in the unum. I don't have pics on my computer yet but I should buy tomorrow... has anyone heard of this in a 35? Report this Post to the Staff

BJ Neff Pillar of the Community United States 526 Posts	Posted 07/25/2008 12:05 pm There is a tremendous amount of Class VI doubled dies on the reverse for the 1930s, and in the mix there are some 1935s. If your periods in the motto (EPU) appear elongated, more than likely you have a doubled die. Of course, you can encounter Machine Doubling also, so a picture is necessary for any sort of call to be made. BJ Neff Report this Post to the Staff
