Hi I just started collecting. I've been losing my mind trying to figure out all the errors and abbreviations. I think this has Machine Doubling not positive. I have a few coins with this going on with the rim on obverse and would like to know what that is as well as the chip/hole under the mint mark. Please help, thanks!

@AW, first welcome to CCF. Second, it is a little hard to know what specific feature of this coin might be doubled from your pics. However, when I blow up and enhance a pic of the date and mintmark, it looks to me like there may be an area of broken plating which has allowed the underlying zinc core to start to corrode and push up on the copper plating. Clearer pics along with a more complete description of what you are seeing with the coin in hand would definitely help us to help you.

Looks a bit like a misaligned die on the rim to me, and I can't tell if it's MD or DD, need better pictures.
