*** Edited by Staff to Add Year / Mintmark / Denomination to Title. Titles are Important! ***

I have a 1958 D LWC that I think might be a DDO! Please pay close attention to the thickness of the Left side of O in GOD and the thickness of the left side of 8. Thanks!

You should include the date, mintmark, and the denomination in your titles.

Sorry! I'm new to this. I'll be more careful about reading my posts before I post it from now on! Thanks for fixing it!

It maybe a bit of MD on that area. I see a bit of it also on 'G' of GOD also. Could have also made the contact on the ear lobe. Machine Doubling can happen on one device, different from one device to the next, appear on one side, two sides or more sides of devices. There are no rules for them. The only is that is always reduces/pushes the devices after the strike, altering them. Usually appear on the edges of the devices. Can be soft or strong. It just depends on how sloppy the machine is when your coin was struck.

Can't see the devices well enough to determine one way or the other. Will need close up pics.
