I found this 1971 D quarter and was inspecting it when I saw a line coming out of the beak of the eagle. I thought it might just be damage or something, but thought it'd be worth it to ask about it.

From the way the lighting is creating highlights and shadows on the coin , the anomaly looks to be incuse. If so , then it is just a bit of damage to the coin from circulation.
