Remember hub doubling should enlarge devices:
1966-Washington-Quarter-DDO?
1966-Washington-Quarter-DDO?
Compare the size of the above devices, with this one:
1966-Washington-Quarter-DDO?
These devices are normal in size, but show reducing by damage after the strike by the machines dies that just struck the coin. They are normal, then altered (reduced) by the machine. On the above examples, the doubling is on the die. They will all look same from strike to strike. MD can change differently form strike to strike:

Machine doubling. Note the reduction in size of the devices and flat shelflike doubling. Not a DDO. Still a nice coin.
