Just acquired a large cent collection which has many higher grade coins. Always worried about counterfeits. This one looks legit and in a higher grade but I am not a expert. Also was wondering how this coin would grade? Any help most appreciated.

I photograph my coins with a Canon T3i, Macro 105 lens, ISO 400 and F4 setting. A bit of far edge blur I am working on.

Beautiful pictures.
I have no knowledge about this, so I will sit out. But that coin looks superb.
Rest in Peace

Gorgeous coin! To my eye, there is a trace of wear on the cheekbone and jaw, so I'll say AU-58, but I wouldn't be surprised at MS-65.

WOW! You just hit the jackpot! Fantastic coin and pictures! WELCOME TO CC!

The coin is one of the finest examples I've ever seen - especially if it can grade MS RB. I'm assuming this is a raw coin? If so, I recommend sending it to PCGS ASAP! Based on those pictures, it has a shot at 66RB which is a $25k+ coin. Well worth the grading expense.

Does it have cartwheel luster under direct light? You should see spokes move around as you tilt it. If it has that under the toning....

65RB (chance at 66)

Suggest you research your coin and value on the PCGS website. If you click on 1914D RB, you can see examples for comparison, also check listings on ha.com.

MS-65RB. I'd send this one to PCGS or NGC.
