@Coin-Flipper, seems like a nice MAD pick-up, but I'll let the folks who know more weigh in.

I was mainly replying with the goal of convincing you to flatten the staples on your 2x2s. If you didn't know, the raised profile of the staples can scratch the next coin if two 2x2s are laid on top of each other. I use pliers for this step, but there are other methods too.

Not really a MAD.
This occurs when the inner core is not lined up in the ring when the
coin is struck with the pressure spreading the core into the outer ring.
The more valuable ones have a space showing between the core and the ring.
Still a nice find though and worth a bit of a premium.

Hi Spence, Thanks for the heads up! Good insight. As per the mint error it's slight. I wonder how can I tell if this was a German planchet or not?

I believe it's not a German planchet.
The German planchets were already assembled with the core locked in place before the strike..
Canadian planchets were sent to the press in two pieces, the core was locked to the outer section by the pressure of the strike, an accident waiting to happen.

Great into DBM! I believe the German planchet ones hold a bit more premium to it?
