Interesting and thanks for sharing!

Error coins are not collected anywhere near as extensively in the UK as in the USA, and tend not to command high prices unless really spectacular - like a full brockage.

Regarding your previous post about 1971 2p coins, I very much doubt if any have actually changed hands for high prices on ebay. There is an extremely rare mule of the 1983 2p (a coin not issued for circulation but only in mint sets) that was struck with a 1971-81 reverse die, showing 'NEW PENCE' instead of 'TWO PENCE'. The publicity given to this coin has made some people think that any 2p with 'NEW PENCE' on the reverse is rare and valuable, and you will always find some on ebay for ridiculous sums.

Yes I know the case about the category of damaged rather than rare or error coin in the U.K. One day those error coins shall be the error of their generations but only time will tell though. Thanks for answering to my thread, that is much appreciated.
