I've seen photos of material stamped, this is slick as can be. Ideas?

Looks more like a PSD damaged area? Note the flattening of the devices.

Thank you coop. Third strike out today. But then again it's the search I like about all this. I'll keep posting if y'all don't mind. I'm taking notes and learning

Note the rim near the edge of the coin. If that area had even one hit on it, something in the center of the coin had taken a bigger hit. That is one thing you look for on these. I have no problem with questions. It make me think and keep my brain sharp. But you benefit with the more I reveal to you, then you see more of what I see on your coin. All benefit, even other readers as well.

I'm delighted you were the one to respond coop. I've been here for a few months trying to learn, many questions have been answered thanks to you and the others. I understand your exploration about the lack of damage at the rim. My eye will get better with time and y'all's input. Thanks again

One last question. Weight? Is it normal or underweight. (Just thought of another cause of the rim to be affected)

Too much light can hide what you want to show. So I inverted the image from light to dark to see if it helped.

2.1 Grams would still be in the Mint tolerances.

Year: 1965 to date
Weight: 2.268 grams
Tolerance: 0.091 grams
Diameter: 17.91 mm
Composition: 75 Cu, 25 Ni on pure Cu

2.177 grams would be at the low end of tolerance. Thanks, Doug.
