I'd be interested on opinions on Large vs Small Date, and opinions on what the green is, and whether there is a safe method to remove it.

I should have mentioned that I did reference PCGS Coinfacts and saw that picture, but I can't be sure. I'm thinking large date.

VG-8 Details. Try a soak in 100% acetone, then Verdicare to see if it improves the color. I'm thinking Large Date.

I've only recently tried acetone on silver coins, but I thought I read that it was not safe on copper. No worries with acetone and copper?

I've never tried verdicare. From the name I'm guessing it removes green stuff?

Looks like the Large Date to me because of the location of the 2 in relation to the hair curl above it.
