The reverse is MVIII E. F. MARK CONV M. = 1008 Eine Feine Mark Conventionsmetal (1,008 coins to equal 1 silver Mark)
The standard used at that time for Brunswick was 1 Thaler = 1/14 Mark, so 4 Pfenning was equal to 1/72 Thaler or 1/1008 Mark (i.e. 72*14)
