This quarter is obviously heavily circulated, but it caught my eye! Are these Cuds on the Obverse? -- Please correct me if I'm wrong, (1) it begins at the rim and moves in (2) Some devices are still visible and not smeared/altered?--

The Reverse is not as interesting, but there seems to be a large gash going across the eagle PMD? Struck Through Grease?

-Same question for "E Pluribus Unum" Section

Thanks SO MUCH in advance! Super appreciate you guys!

Also, feel free to leave any other knowledge/tips/advice on what else to look out for --or ignore--

These are not Cuds. This is just unfortunately a very severe cause of Post Strike Damage ( PSD), meaning that the damage happened after it left the U.S. Mint. The metal has been pushed in, and there's a ton of scratches, making this instantly a cull coin. It's only worth face value.

Awesome thanks! Another question, on the Obverse--what I previously believed were cuds--are significantly raised... I wouldn't say bubbled because I've seen what heat bubbles look like. What would these be called? and how did they form?

We call these "damage".

When someone beat up this quarter, some metal folded over on itself (e.g. at LIBERTY). Then this was flattened out, either through circulation or on purpose. In other areas, the metal was just bent before being flattened.

@ Spence "we call These damages"

I'd never seen a quarter swollen from abuse before... well to this degree anyways. Thank you for the break down :)
