It would be a deal breaker for me if a variety had a die chip on it. (same for MD as well) But that is me. I like the earlier die state coins. The earlier the better for varieties. (often you will see these and the seller doesn't know about die states) But that is just me. I'd rather have 10 coins with a value of $100 each, than to have thousands of coins that are worth face value. Report this Post to the Staff

The production quantity is so high that I can easily find a "no problem" coin. If you want to make a study of die clips, that's up to you. For low production I probably wouldn't intentionally collect them either. BUT if a low survival issue that I wanted had a die chip it wouldn't bother me. Report this Post to the Staff
