Actually it is not the scope that is at fault. The lighting your using is the issue. If you are using a single bulb setup, it is better than an LED multiple light source. A single light can create light and shadows. Multiple light sources down with too much light and add unwanted wrap around of directions. Best with a single light source. Even unwanted light directions can some from room lighting, sunlight through windows. These can be blocked with a facial tissue and bloch the direction of the unwanted light source. How do you determine the direction of the source? Look through your scope and place you hand around the coin area. Then you can see what direction is adding glare. Place a facial tissue or a piece of paper to provide blockage of the light reaching the coin. A thought was mentioned about using a solo cup to store coins in. But the thought came to mind. You could take a solo cup and mark a cut out to let it slide next to the coin with the right cuts to let in the good light and block out the bad light. An inexpensive way to remove glare and unwanted light sources. A colored solo cup could be used to block light. A clear solo cup might be used to cut glare. Just experiment and you can make what works for used without having to sell the farm.
