Heated with a torch. A struck through error is affected only on one side of the coin. You coin was altered. It had a short life being normal.

My initial thought is some type of mint error. Don't know but it looks interesting. Planchet error? Struck through something?

If it is a legitimate mint error, even with the spots on the rev. it looks mint state.

Others will know...

(Edit) coop- I also see doubling around the head, back and front of the face. Can a torch do that?

Well, that's why I'm asking because I'm thinking an error and I think I'm damage... but thanks for your valuable comments ...

Keep in mind with high temperatures, the metal is a bit molten. The torch creates waves from the blast of the torch. Not a small torch. But an larger one.

Forget it! All it did was change the color. Plus I wasted 10 minutes on my tank. It probably wasn't hot enough.
