I looked this up and I cannot tell the difference. I know it is probably different but could someone tell me why and is it really that nice or did my grandpa clean it and make it kind of worthless.

If your thinking of the big one, that's on the 1958 plain. Only 3 were made and all are accounted for.

1958-D DDO-001 has slight doubling above the 9 and below the B in LIBERTY.

I don't see any doubling above the 9 and you don't have clear pics of LIBERTY, so doubling is not a match.
Your coin has numerous die scratches on the obverse while WDDO-001 doesn't. Mintmark location looks slightly off. Die markers are not a match.

All the other devices on this listing are normal. Just the two devices in these images are showing doubling. That much match. In order to be from this die showing hub doubling.

Also pm Variety Vista, check the description for every die. They post images of some devices that are not affected by the doubled die. So when you look at them, they are showing normal devices. Thus every coin will have have normal devices that are not a doubled die. So read what to look for on this site. Something that all of us miss from time to time.
