Hello. I feel like there is a lot of thickness in LIBERTY. Especially in LIB. There also appears (to me) that there is notching at the bottom right of ERTY. Left bar of the Y thicker? Cant match the listing exactly. Die markers are hard to match with this one! Any help is very much appreciated! Thank you and happy hunting!

You might have Working Hub Doubling. Check here, and see if it matches to any of them. http://doubleddie.com/2318537.html

Thanks E&V, and isn't Hub Doubling another "worthless" form of doubling? Or am I mixing my doubling up?

A working hub creates a working die. When the hub doesn't make a normal die, they are called doubled dies because the devices are doubled. If a working hub was created incorrectly from the master die, then the working hub would be doubled. The doubled working hub would make doubled working dies. The problem? There would be many working dies created that had the same doubling. Problem? They would be more common to find. What we are looking for is doubled dies from a working doubled die. A die that has working hub doubling would be more common to find and have less value because they could be more common to find.

Ohhhhhhhh! Okay. So hub doubling is another form of "worthless" doubling because it happens in large numbers and on many dies, affecting many, many coins. If this is true, then why does Mr Wexler have it listed under DDOs? Does it have any value? Is it collectible at all?
