1982 (Lmc) Small Date 3.1 Grams Not 1 But 2

I have found several small dates but only 2 are 3.1 grams

Common for that year , The one you want is 1982 D small date 3.1 grams

They made a few billion of each type, but no one knows the exact mintages. Might be interesting to someday go back through all the issues of Coin World for 1982 and come up with a good rough estimate of the different mintages, Mintage totals were published monthly, and it was reported when the changeover took place at each mint. You could pretty safely assume the entire mintage for the months before the change was copper, and the entire mintage in the months after were zinc. That would only leave you with the amount coined during actual changeover month being mixed. Wouldn't give you exact figures but good to within maybe a couple hundred million.

To CCF! That's normal. The 1982 D Small Date is the one you want to look for. The ones you have are common, and is only worth face value.

But if you are trying to ID them, 3.1 grams is the weight for copper. They are both small dates.
