Is this close of being a doubled die obverse excluding the issues being asked? I need your expert opinions, it looks like the vertical bar of L on Liberty is attached to the rim and what type of error is on the R? How about the forehead, eyes? I am seeing some doubling on the inscriptions as well but I still really suck on this and I really need your expert opinions/informations. Looking forward to hear from all the experts. Thank you.

Other than the die chip on the R in LIBERTY,it looks like a normal LD cent. Not a DDO.

What you have going on is some Die Deterioration and the obverse die has been polished down to cover up a Die Clash maybe. The die is getting old and is slowly starting to break down.

The die is aging. Look on the right side of the 'L' that is extreme die wear. So the die is not a spring chicken. In 1968 they retired the master hub. Why? Because it was spreading outwards. You can start to see this even back then. Moving ahead in time, you the master die was creating the master die with devices moving towards the edge of the die. In 1968, the dies were as far to the edge of the die that they could go.
