Just started CRH and coin collecting. I've gone through 2 nickel boxes so far and a water jug of change that was 80% full.

It took me hours to sort it out and then its strained my eyes checking all of the dates while squinting.

So I'm thinking about getting some sort of a light and magnifying glass.

Are there any specific ones you all recommend or any other tools I should consider ordering off of Amazon?

You'll get recommendations for some great stuff from the serious collectors. Loupes and microscopes.
But, I'm not one of them. My favorite for checking dates is a plastic handheld magnifying glass to check the dates and mint marks. Mine has a small extra magnifing disk near the handle from Walmart. I also use a simple desk lamp for extra light. Nothing fancy here.

I don't use a coin sorter personally. I'd say Mylar flips, a usb microscope are a good place to start.

Are you looking for errors and varieties? If so you will need a jewlers loupe of 10x-12x doublet or triplet. A good light source,I use a clamp on drafting table light with a 30 watt CFL (I use a 14x doublet). Some coin tubes and some 2x2 holders. If you plan on looking for errors/varieties you will need to do a lot of reading and research before hand.
