Hello everyone, I'm Dave.. I'm disabled from brain cancer treatment I had and have heart disease... I recently came across a set of Sterling proof coins I got called "The medallic History of California" the set is 60 coins equaling 50 ounces of silver and has not been opened. I'm wondering if someone could give me a rough idea of what the set might sell for? As I'm thinking of selling it to help pay for medical expenses.

Sorry to hear about your medical issues.
Sounds like a Franklin mint product, as if so, likely worth melt or about $725

@DGW, first welcome to CCF. Second, sorry to hear about your heath issues. Third, I agree with @bigsilver that generally speaking Franklin Mint issues tend to be worth melt only (that is, no numismatic or collector's value beyond the intrinsic value of the silver). Also, remember that Sterling silver is nominally 92.5% silver.

Thank you to the people who responded, I really appreciate it and figured it was probably worth the silver weight. Lol obviously I don't much regarding coins!
