Hello, What do you call this kind of error - sort of a drawn line starting from the left shoulder across the chest and up the neck. Are those clash marks, gouges or just grease? In Fig2 is that a planchet error?

It looks like a stain from some liquid. It doesn't look raised or indented.

If the lines are raised or incuse then the next step is to carefully rub acetone on the coin with something like a Q tip. The area you are talking about could be glue on the coin and acetone will take it off.

HMMMM, how about environmental damage such as a stain from an unknown source.

Hello, Been out of town. Couldn't comment on your feedbacks. Anyway thanks. I also tried cleaning it with acetone, but without effect. Here is a new picture taken with a different light angle. Now the lines seem to be raised.
