I am starting this tread to see how each would proceed. It started when I acquired a Hamburg 20 Mark(see World Coin:German 20Mark) 30 years ago and just put it aside. Today I am trying to attribute the coin.
It is accepted that it is not a government issue but a private issue. I have checked with several grading services and they will not handle. I have had offers to 'look' and 'buy'.
How would you proceed?

ICG would slab it if you want to go that route. They will slab and grade all coins, tokens, medals, private issues, etc.

If it sat for 30 years, why are you now worried about it? Are you planning on selling that coin? If not, just leave it as is. Maybe in another 30 years you could consider something but in the meantime I'd let it alone.

Carl,
I don't know if I will be around in 30 years.
I just want to get things organized just in case.
