This did not occur at the mint during manufacture in the coining process.
Perhaps, but unlikely, the damage occurred at the mint during the bagging and distribution process - most likely the damage already noted above happened with the coin in circulation.
Wherever it occurred - this is not a mint strike error.
If you hover your mouse over the blue link for PMD or click on the hyperlink, you'll see that PMD = Post-Mint Damage. That is, something that happened to the coin after the minting process (some prefer the term "Post-Strike Damage").
Regardless... what you have is worth a nickel.
