I agree with it being a modern copy, or replica. Wouldn't call it a modern fake, as it is made out of bronze and stamped. Would be interesting to see where is came from and what it really is!

moose59, be very careful. The image appears to be a dark Buffalo nickel. Images need to have unique names, otherwise the last one uploaded overwrites others with the same name.

I fixed the OP. You need to rename your files to something meaningful before uploading them! "S20181215_0001-_2_.jpg" is not a good file name.  "Unknown_KAICA_coin_OBV.jpg" is a good file name.
