My top five for 2018 are-

1- Somalia Elephant

you didnt think anyone else would knock my elephants off their high pedestal did you lol I love the design for this year and wide range, especially in gold. I like how for 2018 they specifically focused on the head of the elephant instead of the whole body. In silver, the 10 oz is really magnificent.

2- Australian Bird of Paradise

love the design and intricate pattern of feathers and how they show and contract, especially in the silver coin. Also like how its an easy 2 coin set to put together.

3- Korean Tiger, 2018
Available in several gold sizes and silver. The silver tiger, once again shows great detail and texture, its nice to have an asian animal featured as well. Tho are there any wild tigers in South Korea, I dont think so lol

4- Rwanda Giraffe
This series has been pretty consistent with many winners and they did a great job with representing Giraffes in 2018. It was nice that they did a gold coin as well but with such a low mintage,it comes across as a gimmick, something this hobby needs to stop and get away from.

5- 2018 5 oz ATB Cumberland Island silver coin
I was torn on which one for 2018, but I felt this one had the BEST design for 2018. Very solid coin and really, 2018 had a lot better designs than previous years. I know there will be many who disagree with me but thats too bad lol I am always right lol jk

So what are your top five, and tell us briefly way for each one!

In no particular order:

1) Australia - 5 dollars "The Earth"
From their The Earth and Beyond series. This is intricate and colorful. And has space stuff.

2) UK - 5 pounds "Unicorn of Scotland"
From the Queen's Beats series. Just edged out the Black Bull.

3) Fiji - 1 dollar "Mermaid Rising"
Just plain beautiful.

4) Ghana - 5 cedes "African Leopard"
The leopard skin field on the obverse is an intriguing design. And the reverse shows the leopard's kill and lardering. I learned that lardering is the way the leopard gets to feed off the kill for longer. I like coins such as this where I can learn something new.

5) Cayman Islands - 1 dollar "Marlin"
A very dynamic and energetic design.

Here are my favorites for 2018, in no particular order:

1. 2018 South Korea Chiwoo

2. 2018 South Korea Tiger. (I recently ordered the 1/10 gold version.)

3. 2018 Perth Mint Birds of Paradise

4. All of the 2018 ATB's were nice this year. (This was much needed after a few down years in my opinion.)

5. 2018 Great Britian Valiant (10 ounces). This is a must have for a bullion collector in my opinion.

Also, I feel like I have to mention the 10 ounce Britannia Bar that was released this year. It is the nicest 10 ounce bar I own.

@Conner

looks like we share similar tastes, I am getting the 1/10 oz as well, I have bought previous half oz gold tigers, last years design was really nice. I like the 10 oz silver tiger bullion, that should be coming soon. I agree with you as well, the ATBs really looked good this year, I had been turned off by many of their designs that I just couldnt get behind.

great stuff guys, keep it coming.

In no particular order...

- British 10 oz Valiant silver round

- RCM Magnificent Maple 10 oz silver round

- 5 oz silver ATB round, Block Island

- 1 oz Krugerrand silver round

- US Mint 225th Anniversary Liberty Commemorative medal set

The last is actually my favorite. Proof, reverse proof, enhanced, uncirculated, all four are very attractive silver rounds. I think both 10 oz rounds are stunners.
