The US did have $10,000 and $100,000 notes series 1934. No $50,000 notes. Any chance of posting pictures of these notes? More than likly these are fansty notes.

The US $10,000 note is very rare with an estimated surviving population of about 200, even a poor example would bring over $50,000. The highest note would be a $100,000 gold certificate. None of these have ever existed in private hands, they were produced strictly for transfers between Federal Reserve banks.

A $50.000? Never heard of it. Although I'm no expert in this field. Most fantasy pieces are the 1 million/billion ones, I haven't seen a fantasy 50.000 yet so please post pics .

Not a chance that the $100,000 note is real- like I said, none have ever been released from the Federal Reserve system(except for museum loaners), they were only for Fed bank transfers. With two out of three fake, it would stand to reason that the $10,000 note is bunk as well.

yeah I guess so... if the would-be-seller got 2 fakes in his pocket their is a greater than 50% that the other one could be fake too..

Look for a small red word that says copy anywhere on the bill. If the guy is holding onto a $10,000 bill hes an idiot for not getting it graded 1st and formost. The $100,000 they only made I think 34,000 to 42,000 with only 1 known to exist at the San Francisco Reserve Bank. The rest they burned except for a couple of uncut sheets that the reserve holds onto for BEP shows

some people has no idea about the value of what they have I guess? when I first started buying coins, I put it in the local newspaper.. said we buy & sell coins...I've done that with zero knowledge till I bought junks and fakes.. I don't know that this trade would earn me some decent bucks... some people who came to sell what they have asked, what are you going to do about it? i tell em for collection with the idea of preserving and the idea of preserving the history behind it.. some don't know the metal content of it.. some even have by their own story as was popularly done here in our place that they had mixed it with cement and add it to the post foundation of their houses

It's been ten years, but I sort of remember that they had a $100,000 note at the National Coin Collection in Washington DC.

I believe that you are correct phil88, at the Smithsonian. There are also two at the ANA Museum and the remainder are on display at the Federal Reserve banks.
