Normal weight is 11.3g so it is probably close to spec.

ok I can see that it is supposed to whey 11.3,
but I was looking at an application that said a D min coin made 1971 weighing 11.5 was a seperate variety worth money,
so I was wondering if this also applied to the P mint.
or if what it said in the app was even true.
but 1971 is the year they changed the composition of the coin and stopped using silver according to what I read.
so it makes sense 11.5 would be another variety.
i weyed this and a bunch of other 71's this one sticks out at 11.5.
thnx

The tolerance on the Kennedy half is .4g so it can read anywhere up to 11.7g so yours is within tolerance.
I believe it is only the 1971D that had some coins accidentally minted
in silver if that is what yo are referring to.
