I put no stock in rumors so I'm asking those of you that would know. True or false about a premium for said coin.

Are you talking about the cent produced in 2017 that had a P mintmark for Philadelphia. They produced 4361.22 million of them. Is your coin unique in some way?
EDIT - updated production number

Maybe for only a mint error ,not for the 17-P itself ,too many produced to have value .

MS 66 is a $10-20 dollar coin so there's certainly some value there, but MS 67 is what normal submitters would need to turn a profit.

As mentioned, only if the coin is very high grade, as is the case with most other modern circulating coins. The mintmark itself doesn't make it valuable. Like Fuzzy317 pointed out, the mintage was well over 4 Billion. Yes, the coins that actually circulate degrade quickly, but there is no doubt many collectors/dealers/prospectors hoarded rolls/boxes of them speculating on a future market.
I think the only chance for the 2017-P cent to have notable value is in conditional rarity. Well circulated, undamaged examples will be very difficult to find. I'm not sure the usage of cents will last long enough for even that to happen.

Yes that one will be worth a lot of money in about 300 years.

Quote: Yes that one will be worth a lot of money in about 300 years. If it does not disintegrate in that time. I think high grade Zincolns will go way up in value since the super majority of the billions minted are not being properly preserved and will inevitably turn to dust.

Was this one of those "trick ... GOT_CHA" rumors? The mint produced 4+ billion 2017-P (big P) cents, but only a few 2017-p (little p) cents.

Most of the 2017-P Shield cents are worth just that - one cent. Only in very high MS grades are they worth more than that. Sounds like a bogus rumor to me.
