I believe this to be an issue of the Gallic usurper Flavius Magnus Magnentius.

Buoyed by the loyalty of the troops under his command, Magnentius deposed the ruler of the western portion of the empire, Constans (Constantine the Great's youngest son), who was killed in the process. Magnentius' reckoning came in the form of successive defeats in battle by forces led by the eastern emperor Constantius II (Constans' brother), the upshot of which was that the far-flung Roman dominions became once again united under a single sovereign.

Dimensions are 21.3 x 16.7 mm.

RIC VIII 185 Lugdunum (Sear 18799)?

I agree, RIC VIII Lyons 115. I reckon that is what Cuss meant - the Sear # for RIC VIII Lyons 115 matches.

I will add that I think this one might be unofficial. The Lyon mint's workmanship wasn't great, but the eye and the hair on this example are cut in a very 'barbaric' manner, as is the fallen enemy. That being said, the rest of the coin is very well made - the horse and rider certainly square up well when compared to the official issues.
